     This memorial website was created to remember Robert E. "Bob" Schultz, Sr. who was born in Blue Island, Illinois on February 17, 1942 and passed away on March 18, 2009. He will live forever in our memories and hearts.

     Robert E. “Bob” Schultz, Sr., 67, of Hanna City, passed away at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the home of his niece, Toni (Dave) Morrison, after a long illness.

     He was born in Blue Island, a son of George and Katherine (Gibson) Schultz. They preceded him in death, along with a brother, Clarence Schultz and sister, Jeannette Flowers.

     Bob is survived by his sons, Robert E. (Colette) Schultz, Jr. of Moline, Michael (Angie) Schultz of Mount Olive and Robert Douglas Schultz of TX; granddaughter, Holly Schultz of Moline; sisters, Mary (Vern) Funkhouser of CA, Georgian Stephens of CA, Paula (John) Ward of FL, Josephine Price of Dallas, TX, Rose Spann of Peoria, Fran (Jim) Fulton of Pekin, Judy (Don) Hughes of Indianapolis, IN and Susan Whited of East Peoria; brother, Jack Schultz of Springfield; brother-in-law, Chuck Flowers of Peoria; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

     He was formerly employed with Keystone Steel and Wire and Caterpillar’s East Peoria facility, prior to moving to Texas in 1980.

     Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Korea, and a life member of the V.F.W. Lone Star Post #2150 in McKinney, Texas. He also enjoyed listening to country music and camping at Lost Arrow in Havana.

     Cremation rites have been accorded. Military honors and interment will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.

     Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to OSF Hospice or to the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program in Peoria.

     Robert’s family would like to thank the staff of OSF Hospice, especially their RN, Tom, and his CNA, Pat, for the wonderful care they gave.

well Uncle Bob you are no longer in pain. But will be dearly missed. The year we had with you at the campground. I wil remember in one ear andut the other. I will keep all your wishes. I will miss you but now you are with mom with all the angels. We love you now and we love you then. toni
